Resources and training on the fundamental aspects of the ILO with regard to social protection: social security, health and safety in the work place, and wages and salaries.
How should social security systems be implemented based on ILO standards ?
What is the role of these systems for overcoming social inequalities or the importance of collective bargaining and decent employment?
The issues are presented and analysed from a gender perspective. The bias and gaps in social security systems and in risk prevention in the workplace, along with salary discrimination, tend to affect women who are less protected and more vulnerable in this regard.
